متن کاملCorrelations between dialogue acts and learning in spoken tutoring dialogues
We examine correlations between dialogue behaviors and learning in tutoring, using two corpora of spoken tutoring dialogues: a human-human corpus and a human-computer corpus. To formalize the notion of dialogue behavior, we manually annotate our data using a tagset of student and tutor dialogue acts relative to the tutoring domain. A unigram analysis of our annotated data shows that student lea...
متن کاملAnnotating the discourse and dialogue structure of SMS message conversations
In this paper we present a framework for annotating the discourse and dialogue structure of SMS message conversations. The annotation specifications integrate elements of coherence-based discourse relations and communicative acts in conversational speech. We present annotation experiments that show reliable annotation can be achieved with this annotation framework.
متن کاملDialogues for Negotiation: Agent Varieties and Dialogue Sequences
This work presents a formal, logic-based approach to one-to-one agent negotiation, in the context of goal achievement in systems of agents with limited resource availability. The proposed solution is based on agent dialogues as a way, e.g., to request resources and propose resource exchanges. It relies upon agents agreeing solely upon a language for negotiation, while possibly adopting differen...
متن کاملDialogue Act Recognition in Synchronous and Asynchronous Conversations
In this work, we study the effectiveness of state-of-the-art, sophisticated supervised learning algorithms for dialogue act modeling across a comprehensive set of different spoken and written conversations including: emails, forums, meetings, and phone conversations. To this aim, we compare the results of SVM-multiclass and two structured predictors namely SVMhmm and CRF algorithms. Extensive e...
